re:publica 18 in Berlin was taking place from 2 to 4 May 2018 under the motto "POP". re:publica is the largest and most exciting conferences about digital culture in Europe. Since its foundation in 2007, it has grown from a cozy blogger meeting with 700 participants into a wide-ranging “society conference”, with a total of 19.500 visitors on three days at the 12th edition of re:publica 2018 in Berlin. Around 50 percent of re:publica 2018's speakers were female – far more than at many other similar events.
The 2018 edition of re:publica and MEDIA CONVENTION in Berlin have been exciting: We proudly count a total of 929 international speakers from 65 countries. Young and old alike were represented on re:publica's 20 stages. re:publica 2018 brought together people from 83 countries. Around 1.000 accredited international journalists bustled around the fully packed STATION-Berlin and adjoining Kühlhaus.
