Visitors can inform themselves about Linux and open source software. The event is also about digital society, creative applications of technology, science and education.
The Linux-Infotag offers a program not only for experienced users, but also for beginners and those interested in network politics and digital society. Project booths offer the opportunity for direct contact.
The Linux-Infotag has been organized since 2001 by the Linux User Group Augsburg (LUGA) e.V. together with the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. With regularly more than 350 visitors it is one of the oldest and largest Linux events in southern Germany. After a Corona-related break in the years 2020-2022, the event will be resumed in 2023.
