15 years ago the first re:publica took place. 8 years ago the first Global Innovation Gathering was hosted at re:publica - today the network includes over 150 people in more than 40 countries. GIG is proud to have accompanied re:publica along half the way of its journey and in this session three GIG members will say Happy Birthday and share how the event has impacted their work. As Jay, Sheila and Gabi are key players in the digital ecosystems of their countries, they will also share reflections on differences and similarities between Berlin, Nairobi, Rio and Manila when it comes to being hot-spots for digital innovation and how they have managed to keep innovating with their communities despite the pandemic.
