In this session, experts from at-risk communities and open source software (OSS) teams who maintain security and privacy tools will share their experiences of working together for 3-6 months through Internews’ BASICS program. Experts from at-risk communities were hired to help meet key sustainability needs of widely used OSS security & privacy tools. Our speaker panel is made up of both experts from at-risk communities and maintainers of OSS privacy & security tools: Natalie Cadranel (maintainter of Save by OpenArchive) Marek Marczykowski-Górecki (maintainer of Qubes OS) Viktoriia Savchuk (expert consultant working with Save, Tella, and Tahoe-LAFS) Eric Wamugu (expert consultant working with Qubes OS) Moderator: Gina Helfrich (Program Officer, Internews)
